Neo Reso - Neo Jack for Resonator Guitars
The new Neo-Jack for resonator guitars provides a 1/4" output jack in a low profile assembly that mounts just behind the tailpiece. Utilizing the original mounting hole, screw and strap button it provides a totally non-invasive method of attaching a jack to a resonator guitar.
Technical
The Neo Reso jack is designed to fit virtually all normal resonator guitar tailpieces without modification to the instrument.
When used with a pickup sensor that mounts above the cone, as with our NR-2 and TC pickups, the lead wire is brought out of the cover plate directly to the jack as shown in this photo.
If the Neo Reso jack is used with a sensor that mounts to the underside of the cone then a small 'worm' hole will be drilled in the area under the tailpiece to allow the lead wire to exit the body. The red dot in the photo below shows the area under the tailpiece where the small 1/8" access hole would be drilled.
Below are the physical dimensions of the Neo Reso jack.
